Smartjobboard websites come with built-in blog creation tool, which you can use to create blog posts.
To add a new blog post navigate to Content > Blog and click Add Blog Post
Next, enter your Title and Page Content. Be sure to take advantage of the editor to format text and provide links and other media content if necessary to make your blog post look more exciting.Also, please note that the content you entered in Title field you can use to optimize the display of your page in search engines. Search engines are the tools such as Google, Bing and Yahoo! that search the internet for specified keywords and return a list of the documents where the keywords were found.
Choose Category your want your blog to appear under.
This is needed in order for your readers to easily navigate through content. It will be easier for your audience to find relevant content in your blog section.
Next, upload an image, if you wish your blog post to include it and set the publish date.
Once you’re done, it is time to work on SEO Settings of your blog post:
URL: It is important to get your blog posts out there,and improve your blog’s SEO. That’s why there is an ability to edit URLs of your blog posts. By default, they will be generated based on blog title. But you can change it if you want.
Meta description is another important tool that will help your blog post become more visible in search engines. Meta description is the text that displays below a search results. Typically, it is a brief paragraph that concisely describes your blog post content. Meta descriptions can be any length, but search engines generally truncate snippets longer than 160 characters.
Meta Keywords are scanned by search engines and matched to end-users’ search terms. To optimize your traffic to your site, you can specify the search terms for which you wish to have your page returned when end- users search. You can add as many keywords as you wish separated by comma.
Click Save when you’re finished customizing your blog post.
You can allow your site users to leave comments now. By doing that, you will engage them even more, and in the result, you will build a strong, dedicated community around your site.
The comments section is powered by the most popular Disqus plugin. You can configure this plugin by following these instructions.
You will be able to manager your comments in admin> Blog> Manage Comments link. In case if it Disqus plugin is not configured, Manage Comments link will rediret you to this plugin's configuration.
If you wish to delete a blog post from your website, all you need to do is to go to a blog posts list view, select the blog you want to remove and click Delete button. Please keep in mind once the blog post is deleted, its content won’t be recoverable.
You can grab your site visitors’ attention right away, by displaying blog articles right on your homepage.
In order to add it, please go to admin> Appearance> Customize theme> and click on a + sign to add a new widget> choose Blog Articles.
In the pop up for editing Blog Articles widget, you will see:
Title - Latest From the Blog (default value)
Number of Blog Articles - you can select number of articles to display: 3, 6, 12, 24 (by default: 3)
Once you’re done creating your blog, it will not be shown anywhere on your site unless you link it. For example, you might want your blog to link to the top menu.
To get started, go to Appearance > Navigation Menu and click Add Menu Item.
In the Name field enter “Blog” and also in a Link drop - down field choose “Blog”. When finish click Save.
Now your top menu should include a "Blog" item.
To link your newly created blog in a footer is easy. Simply copy the URL of your blog and navigate to Customize Theme > and edit the Footer text.
Add "Blog" somewhere in the footer and highlight it and click the hyperlink tool in the editor and select the option Insert Link.
Insert the your blog link and click Ok, when finished.
