Nobody wants to spend time on an empty job site. Smartjobboard comes with pre-built integration with 3 Backfill plugins: Indeed, ZipRecruiter and Talroo.

You can enable any of these plugins in your Admin Interface > Settings > Job Backfilling.

Backfill jobs will appear on homepage under Latest Jobs section. By default it is titled Latest Jobs from Web section. And displays 4 jobs at a time.

You can make changes to this section, by going to the admin> Appearance> Customize theme> Drag and Drop design tool> Backfill widget

You will be able to edit the title and change number of jobs displaying at a time.

Backfill jobs will also be displayed below the native jobs (jobs that were posted by employers or manually imported into your job site).

Backfill jobs will not be stored in your database. When users click to view these jobs, they will be redirected to the source website to complete the application process. And you will a get a revenue share.

NOTE: You can choose only one backfill plugin to display at a time.

Indeed Settings

By default your job site will be connected to Smartjobboard’s Indeed publisher account.

Indeed has discontinued their publishing program, however, you can still utilize their services through our backfill plugin.

The settings can be located at Smartjobboard admin > Settings > Job Backfilling > Indeed > Edit

Then, you can configure Default Filtering Parameters to narrow down Indeed jobs that will be displayed in your website. For example, you may want to display only part-time IT jobs close to San-Francisco area.

Then, in Keyword Query field enter any keywords, job categories or roles related to IT jobs you are after.

Next, choose in the Country drop-down field - United States and in Job Type field choose - part time.

In Location field enter - San-Francisco or enter postal code if you know it. You can also enter a combination of "city, state/province/region" and system will accurately display the right jobs.

In Radius field specify the distance from the search location. By default, Smartjobboard's raduis is 25 miles.

In Job Type, you can specify the type of job, full-time, part-time, etc.

Finally, in in Site Type field choose Job site if you want to display jobs only from job boards and choose employer if you need only jobs directly from employers' websites. Leave blank, if you want to display both types of jobs.

When finish, click Save

NOTE: If you're going to use Backfill feed only and don't have your own jobs yet, you may want to remove the “0 jobs found” header coming up after a job search. You can easily do this by modifying this phrase in Settings > Edit Language section. Just search for "jobs found" an change it to whatever you like.
If you want to hide a phrase altogether, insert " &nbsp " phrase in there.
